'Jot the 'Martarma—Star, Lady filly; the name claimed'is Starma, and for the Greyspear—Red Ribbon colt Dark Red. youngsters are -blacks. ;*•:} It is,several seasons .since Goodman jhVd juveniles to prepare, bis attention indecent years having been given to ,olderi horses. Starma is interestingly bred, as she is by a son of Martian'out 'of <<Star Stranger's dam, thus being a three-quarter relative to the champion. She was cheaply bought for 60 guineas at the yearlinp'sales by Mr. A. H. Dember,'of the Wajkato, who purchased her on Goodman's advice. She has done well iri her early preparation, and, conirarv to^what might beiex-. pected from her breeding, she may be a useful two-year-old performer., ,».'
