New war debt developments -which. Administration officials believe Trill allow President Roosevelt to send the United States Congress not only a detailed report on debt status, but concrete suggestions for a general settle,ment, are expected within the nest two weeks. . ; No official would say what were the expected developments, but it was indicated that they would form the basis of the- expected Presidential Message to. Congress. •
Men familiar with the progress of the debt negotiations pointed out, however, that envoys of thirteen nations which have debt instalments due on June 15 have held recent discussions at the State Department, among them the British and French Ambassadors.
