MASTERTON SALE.
The Kew Zealand Fanners' Co-operative Distributing Company offered a yarding of 450 sheep, 56 head of cattle, and 33 pigs at the Maste.ton sale yesterday. The few fat sheep yarded sold well, as also did store sheep, in. fact, slightly in advance of recent sales. Cattle sold at late rates, and pigs sold at somewhat better prices. Prices were:— " .
Fat Sheep.—Prime fat wethers, 2os; lighter sorts, 21s to 23s 6d; extra prime heavy ewes, 22s Gd; good ewes, 17s 6d to 18s 6d; fat lambs, 20s to 225; fat b.f., 22s 9d. Store sheep: Fat and forward wethers, 21s to 22s 3d; good shorn wether lambs, 17s 9d to 19s; woolly wether lambs, 14s 9d to 16s; ewe lambs, 14s to 15s Id; good b.f. lambs, 19s; store ewes, 8s Gd to 10s. ■
Cattle.—Springing cows, £3 to £3 10s: fat cows, ex dairy, £2 to £2 15s; forward cows, 22s to 27s 6d; potter cows, 10s to 20s; weaner Jersey heifers, 12s to 19s; Jersey'bulls, £2 11s to £2 16s. Pigs.—Good weaners, 8s to 9s; smaller do.-, 6s 6d to 7s 6d; light porkers, 20s to 21s; good slips, ISs.
