FOG OVER CHANNEL
AIRMEN DOWN IN WATER
RESCUED BY FISHERMEN

Two airmen Mr. Gadzar, a 19-year-old Indian'of Bombay, and Herr Hell, of Vienna, aged 20, made a forced landing in a fog over the Channel' during the night when their petrol supply was exhausted. Distress signals were observed by. the crew of the' French fishing boat La Rafale, which was 18 miles north-west of Dieppe, and ■ both airmen were rescued, having suffered no injury apart from bruises. The airmen, who had been undergoing advanced aviation instruction at Southampton, were returning from an air pilots' conference at Geneva when, the mishap occurred.
