GAMPLE-NISBET.
A wedding solemnised recently at tlio Brooklyn Methodist Church was that of Lillian May, only daughter of Mr. ami Mrs. J. W. Nisbet, Asquith Terrace, Brooklyn, mirl Milton David .Gamble, pal^ goa of Mrs. Eyuas and
tho late Mr. Gamble, Wallace Street. Tho ceremony was performed by the Rev. B. Eaino, and Miss Ngaire Murphy, Miramar, presided at the organ. The church was artistically decorated by friends.
The bride, who was escorted by hor father, was charmingly attired in a
frock of plain and crinkle silk organdie, made on fitting lines with an embroidered 'circular flounced skirt, and full sleeves. Her veil, which formed a train, wns lent by a friend, and was arranged off the face with organdie box pleating, caught with sprays of orange blossom. She wore gauntlet gloves of organdie, and carried a bouquet of dahlias, white carnations, sweet sultan, gladioli, and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss. Bessie- Mcncc and Miss Vida Smelt (school friends of tho bride). They were dressed in .gowns of pink and green laco . respectively. Their close-fitting caps-of lace to match wore finished with pleatings of organdie and they carried beautiful bouquets in pink tonings tied with bows of tulle. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a floral horseshoe.
Mr. Bob Clunio (cousin of the bridegroom) was best man, and Mr. Bill Clark groomsman. At tho reception tho guests wore received by the bride's mother, who wore blue marocain and lace, with hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. She was assisted by tho bridegroom's niotlier, who wore an ensemble of wine crinkle crepe with hat to tone, and carried a pink bouquet. A dance ended a most enjoyable evening. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Gamble.left for a tour of the North Island, tho bride wearing a smart ensemble of grey and red. Their future home will be at Lower Hutt..
