MOERA HALL
A meeting of the Moera Community Hall Committee was held during the weekend. Councillor P. Campbell pre--81 The balance-sheet showed that the year opened with a credit- balance of £34 lls 8d and closed with a credit of £'>3 9s 3d. The principal items in the receipts were hall and crockery rentals £70 3s 6d and the Lower Hutt Borough Council's subsidy of £10. On the exnenditure side the chief items were the caretaker's salary £49 ISs and repairs £16 15s 3d. The report stated that the year had been a bad one so far as the letting of the hall was concerned, there being few outside engagements. The subsidy from the council had been reduced from £20 to £10. The need of a heating system for the hall was also mentionocl,
