SONS OF TEMPERANCE
Representatives from all parts of 2s^w Zealand met at the thirty-fifth annual meeting of the National Division of the Sons of Temperance, Bid. W. Grenfell, M.W. Patriarch, presided. After the opening ceremony a memorial service was held for the late Bros. T. P. Moore, P.M.W.P., J. Hopwood, C. B. Grigg, and A. A. Black, and the wife of Bro. J. Lewis. M.W. Patriarch's report showed that great progress had been made during the year. The election of officers resulted: — M.W. Patriarch, Bro. W. C. Nokes; M.W. Associate, Bro. J. Holmes; M.W. Scribe, Bto. J. H. Jones; M.W. Treasurer, Bro. k Billcliff; M.W. Chaplain. Bio. G. K. Simpson; M.W. Conductor, Bro. W. Fet«ie; M.W. Sentinel, Bro. S. C. Clements; M.W. Trustees, Bros. J. Ford, O. Kent, and W.M. Crawley; M.W. Auditors, Bros. G. Woodham and V. Bedwell; M.W. Superintendent of Juveniles, Bro. J. H. Jones. The newly-elected officers were installed by Bro. H. J. Benges, P.M.W.P., assisted by Bro. V. Wisker, G.M.W.P. A windup social was held at night, when Bro. F. Wisker G.M.W.P., was presented with a lodge jewd in recognition of his services to the order. Bro. G. Holmes received the-shield on behalf of Aushbiirton, for the largest increase in membership.
