She will be propelled by geared turbine engines, which will be sufficiently powerful to give her a speed of about 30 knots. It is estimated that the. order to resume on the ship will give employment to about.3ooo men for several mo:nths in building and engineering work, and that a further 5000 workers will find employment in carrying out the various sub-contracts that remain to be done.
