GERMAN AUTHORITIES
HOPE OF SETTLEMENT
(British Official Wireless.) : : RUGBY, March 29. Answering a Parliamentary question in, reference to the banning in Germany of the British film, "Catherine the Great," after it had passed tho censor, Sir John. Simon said that the Federation of British Industries, acting on. behalf of the producers of tho film, is engaged in correspondence with competent German authorities with a view to tho reconsideration of tho ban.
Ho had also called the attention of the German Embassy to tho caso, and expressed tlie hope that tho correspondence in progress might lead to a satisfactory settlement,
