Tomatoes.—Pull the whole ■ vine •up while the toniatoes are green; suspend from ceiling in'a. darkened Toom.'

Tomato Pulp.—Two 'cups tomato, 3 cups sugar, 2 cups apple pulp, -J teaspoonful cinnamon.,. Cook the fruit, measure and strain through a colander. Combine with other ingredients and cook until thick. , Put, in sterilised jars and sea!."

Chocolate and Coffee lie Cream.—lngredients: Four eggs, 3oz sugar, one teaspoonful -cornflour; -Jib cup- chocolate, one cupful strong coffee, one pint milk. Method: Mix the cornflour and sugar and cup chocolate together, add the eggs and coffee. Boil the milk and mis the .whole together until the mixturo' thickens. Freeze in the usual manner. Note:' Cream can be,added,if desired. This helps to make-the icecream smooth.

I Spicy : Cake.—Those • -who. like spicy cake will find this one" delicious: One cupful sugar, i cupful butter, 1 cupful cold, unsweetened apple sauce, 1 cupful seeded raisins, 2 eupfuls flour, 1 teaspoonful soda, 1 teaspoonful cinnamon, § teaspoonful cloves, 3 tablespopnfuls hot water. Cream butter and sugar. Dissolve soda in hot water and mis thoroughly into the strained apple sauce. Combine the two mixtures and add the flour, which has been sifted, with the spices and raisins. Bake, in a moderate oven for three-quarters of an hour. ' Oyster Omelette.—rSix eggs, a pinch of salt, and a few drops of lemon juice. Beat' well together/ add three tablespoonfuls milk, and beat again. Scald six oysters in their own liquor, beard, and cut in small pieces. Fry in butter and serve-very-hot. •
