ROYAL "AERO CLUB
Menibeis of the Uojal Aeio Club at a meeting leccntly'deteated a proposal that women should be admitted to membership ot the club (states the "Daily lEail").
Tho decision was taken after a long and animated discussion under - tiie chairmanship of Lord Gqrcll. '' , Mr. 1\ Jlandley Page," a member of the committee, proposed that women should be admitted to full membership. Urging that the club should recognise the achicrc'mcnt of women in aviation by au'oiding them all the privileges of thu club. His proposal was defeated by a substantial majority. Members also decided not to grant women restricted facilities, other than tho rooms at piesent provided for thc^ entertainment of women guests. Actually thero are fivo .women:. members of the club who pay their subscriptions but arc not admitted to the club premises, where man reigns supreme.
