ACCIDENT FUND ABOLISHED

It was decided-at the annual meetinsr of the Wellington Football Association to abolish the accident insurance fund of the association. . ■

Mr. E. J. Gates, of the Technical Old Boys' Club, who moved the resolution, said that the fund would never be selfsupporting. It was difficult of administration on a fair basis; it was possible to abuse the fund; the W.F.A. was the only association, in New Zealand 'with such a scheme: ancl, moreover, players had shown a lack of interest in maintaining it in spite of its purpose being of great benefit to them.

Some delegates expressed the opinion that the scheme as at present was Hie. ideal one in principle and should not lightly be discontinued, but on bnins put to the meeting the motion was adopted.
