UPPER HUTT RELIEF CARNIVAL
Mr. J. Blewnian, chairman of the. Upper Hutt Relief Committee, states that the committee anticipates that the demonds on the committee this coming winter will be the heaviest it has been called upon to bear, and he appeals to residents of the district who are in any way able to help to come to the assistance of the committee,with either cash donations or goods. In order to assist the funds a capable committee has organised a carnival to be held on Easter Monday. A procession headed by the band and'the fire brigade and composed of tradesmen's and other vehicles, etc., will assemble at the Post Office at 11 a.m., and children will join the procession at the Courthouse. The procession will proceed to Maidstone Park to which admission will be free. At the park there will be games, sideshows, and refreshments. As tho whole of the proceeds will go to the relief fund Mr. Blewman appeals for extensive .support.
