UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
A "BERNARD SHAW" WELCOME
Students from the Auckland and Victoria University Colleges, numbering about 150 all told, will leave Wellington by the Wahinc tonight for the Easter inter-University tournament, to be held at Christchurch. The Auckland team and its supporters arrived at Wellington this morning, and were met by about thirty students of Victoria College with various unmusical instruments. Among those present was "Bernard Shaw," who extended a welcome to the Auckland party. He said- that ho had three things to give them. The first was a big hand, the second the wooden spoon, and the third "the raspberry." He added that lie had got into this rotten little town and was getting ont of it as quickly as possible. v
