Easter will see many trampers intho field,' and some large parties are" leavirig'^the city tonight. Fifty-four members of "the Tararua Tramping Club will be at North'Egniont, and close on fifty members- of. the Hutt Valley Tramping ClubSvill be abDawsou's Falls. At the latter place-a largo, party from the Manawatu Tramping. Club.will also .be present: ■ The Taranaki clubs will also congregate on the mountain. There will be; np" lack- -of snow, . nothing is mqre certain.,' A. second.. Tararua party will visit' the Pinnacles in' Palliser Bay.' ■•:■'.■ i': ' : - ' ■ ; ThehPaua Tramping Club is crossing the Tararuas from Otaki to Kaitokc, and a small Club party is making an interesting trip from Levin to the Dundas'Kange, in the course of which . the . Mangahao will. be "crossed by .a new route from _ Tawirikohuk.ohu to Pukemoremore. A largo number of people will tramp in smaller parties to every part of the local district,- and also to the Tongariro National Park: Some valuable advice on equipment and' tramping, safety generally is published separately in this issue.
