NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUE
' In reply to a question by Councillor A. , Seholefield at Monday evening's meeting of the Petone Borough Council, the Mayor. of Petone (Mr. D.: MeKenzie) states with regard to the artesian water supply agreement with the City of Wellington, that as yet no finality has been reached between the City Council and the Petone and Lower Hutt Borough Councils. Although the out: [ come of the meeting was favourable, | he'said, there was a hitch in the draft resolution, and negotiations were still proceeding .with regard;to the draft to be prepared by the solicitors fc>r. the •approval. of. the - individual councils.
