COLLISION IN FOG
TRAINS AT DONCASTER
SAFETY OF PASSENGERS
(British Official «Vir*leu.> (Received March 29, 11 a.m.) EITGBY, March 28. A mishap occurred at Doncaster during a dense fog early this morning wheii a London and North Eastern Railway night express from London- to Edinburgh ran iiito another express which had left London for same destination seven minutes earlier. • Three mail vans and a brake van were derailed. No passengers or any of the trains'crews were hurt and the trains proceeded after 58 minutes' delay. The cause of the accident is under investigation. The escape from injury of hundreds of passengers who were travelling in the trains involved is due to the fact that the steel frames of the coaches bore the shock of the impact.
