At a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Life-saving Society thej secretary of the-Auckland'head-centre ' notified that owing to lack of delegates I it had been impossible-'to hold the proposed life-saving ' conference. The suggestion was made that a conferenceshould bo held; at" Wellington. | The central executive -in London notified that it was proposed to make' provision for "a" salt- water diploma to be avaDablo to-those whose inability to float precluded them from taking an award in fresh water. It was decided to opposp ; thei proposal. ■ . ■ , It was notified that a. representative of : the"centi'al'exe'eutiVQ"' would visit 3Sfew' Zealand next swimming' season.
