SIZE OF MEETING
COURT OF CONVOCATION Kcgarding- the comment that the meeting of tho Victoria College District Court of Convocation 'last week was attended, by only 7& graduates of a" total number in , the district o& approximately 2000, a "Post" lepoiter was informed today that even if notices had been sent out At did not necessarily follow that 'the attendance would have- been greater. "The Post's" informant said that as far as he knew, there- had not been a laiger attendance at a meeting of the Couit of Convocation than that •of last ■week. lie was present at the meeting held nine years ago, to which reference had been madCj and on that occasion there was only a handful of delegates,inI..attendance.
It ivas also pointed out that the staff at the college would not liave been equal to the big job of sending notices to all graduates in tho district. The clerk of the Court of Convocation was appioachcd in regaid to the holding of the meeting, and it was agreed that it would be sufficient if the meeting was advertised in tho "Wellington newspapers.
