An interim quarterly dividend of 6d a share of 5s has been declared by Mount Morgan, Limited, from profits earned in Queensland. Payment will be made on April 10. The last dividend paid was 2s a share on.December 18, prior to the division of the £1 shares into 5s shares. KING SOLOMON. _The mine, manager 'of King Solomon Deep Lead, Ltd., reports:—Development of north end. of mine steadily persevered with and is proving payable wash to be still making in that direction. The formation is irregular, height of wash varying at. different points and bottom changing from chippy rock, pug, or sand alternately over short distances. Owing to this irregularity of the bottom three pumps are being used in places that are being driven to the.dip defined when it may become possible to work the one place to the dip for drainage. Driving to wesA is exposing a / fair grade of wash. Bed rock made appearance in north-westof this section and a drive has been driven to rise in this rock. In the end of this drive intend putting an uprise to surface for ventilation and safety. Driving to dip in south-west of northern section discontin-. ued. There is a nice body of payable wash opened up for 50 feet of its course from th,e main drive, but at the'soft mark it pinched out m deep ground. Blocking out was continuous in the eastern section. Kaka water-race cleaned out for three -miles.-Another mile of ditching will complete this part of the work, then 18 chains of fluming will be made to complete the whole work. This is a fine .water right and a valuable addition to-the existing water system of the company.
