NICHOLL'S SUCCESS
PETONE MAYOR'S CONGRATULATIONS
Letters of congratulation to Mr. R. H. Nicholl on his success at the National Rifle Meeting and to the secretary of the Petone Rifle Club, to which Mr. Nicholl belongs, have been sent by Mr. D. McKen- < zie, Mayor of Petone. Writing to Mr. c W. A. Scott, secretary of the Petone Rifle c Club. Mr. McKenzie states that h2 wishes j to congratulate the members of the Petone Club on behalf of the councillors and citizens of Petone on the fine marksmanship displayed by members at the National Meeting at Trentham. Their wins were outstanding, writes Mr. McKenzie, and a tribute to their skill as shootists. < Ho congratulated Rifleman Nicholl on v again winning the coveted King's Prize, the Ballinger Rifle Belt, and the National Rifle Association's gold medal and gold badge.. Writing to Mr. Nicholl, Mr. McKenzie congratulates him on his success, and says: "To be associated with the already famous champions of the Petone Rifle Club, names with brilliant triumph and shootists comparing with the t best in- the world, is an honour to be v proud of. I am glad the historic Ballinger Rifle Champion Belt and the a gold medal and gold badge of the National 5 Rifle Association are again a treasured " possession and a. reward for your steadfast. ,_t*fi.* a. -g
