' Six clubs competed in the ninth annual inter-club contest for the Hugh Wright Cup,'-which was.'played o,n the Thorndon bowling green yesterday. The cup was won by the Wellesley Club with eight wins . and 105' points, and the Working Men's Club was runner-up with seven wins and 80 points. Commercial Travellers' Association was third, Civil Service I fourth, and tCentral fifth. As only -two members were present. Federal, the sixth club in the draw, defaulted. ' The games were of twelve heads, and only one dead head was allowed each team in a game. Two rinks were entered by each club, one in each sectiou. The donor of the cup, Mr. Wright, presented the cup to Mr. C. S. Tringham, president of the Wellesley Club. Results are as follows; — SECTION'A. ■ First game: Central worr from Federal by default;' Wellesley 23, Working Men's Club 12; Civil Service drew with Commercial Travellers' Association. Second game: Central 10, Working Men's ClubJJ; Commercial Travellers' Association won from Federal by default; Wellesley 14, Civil Service 10. Third game: Civil Service 13, Central 9; Wonting Men's Club won from Federal by default; Wellesley 13, Commercial Travellers' Association 10. Fourth game: Wellesley 10, Central 5; Civil Service won from Federal by de-1 fault; Commercial Travellers' Association 10, Working Men's Club 4. ' Fifth game: Commercial Travellers', Association 13, Central 8; Wellesley won from Federal by default; Working Men's !
