. (Original.) One* upon a time there lived a Princess named Eosemaiy. ; Now, ■when Rosemary .'s mother died,1 fcer father, married a Queen, who was really a wicked old witch.. But, of course, he did not know this. One day the old' Witch-turned poor Rosemary into a goose girl, and she had to work very lard indeed, .^veryone called her JRose "for. short; "Rosemary:was called1 this because she loved roses. One day afgallant young Prince rodo by, and Eose threw a shower of roses over him. This pleased the- young Prince very. much. He thought he should like t<> win her because she had such a pretty little face, bo ho dressed up as an old" beggar woman. That day as Rose Was minding the geese the old beggar walked over to her. She asked the Princess for something,to eat. The Princessi gave her a piece of cake she was eating. The woman muttered some thanks, and, lo and behold, the old beggar woman changed into a beautiful Prince. The Princess could hardly believe her «yes. "Will you come with .;ne!" he asked her. The Princess at once said "Yes," and away they rode to the _- Prtnce.'s castle. Of course, they were married and lived happily $ver after. "GOLDILOCKS" (9). NewtOwni •
