COMUNN GAIDHEALACH.

There was a good gathering of members and friends at a recent Ceilidh of Comunn Gaidhealaeh, held in the clubrooms, Allen Street. An interesting exhibit during the evening was that of an old spinning wheel kindly lent by Mr. M. Mac Donald and demonstrated by Mrs. H. Mac Lean. The programme of songs and dances was supplied by the following:—Mrs. J. Huntei\ "Gun Crodh gun aighean"; Miss P. Broiiie,-"Isle of my Heart"; Miss M. Davies, "Eriskay Love Lilt"; Mr. Pumfrey, "Mary of Argyle"; Mr. A. MacKay, "Mairi Bhoidheaeh"; Mr. G. Mcßain, "Main -Minn Mheall Slniileaeh," and the Gaelic Choir, "Oigh mo Ruinn." An exhibition of the sailors' hornpipe' was given by Master P. dime. The speech given by the Rev. Dr. Neil Ross at the recent Gaelic Mod in Scotland was read by Mr. D. MacDiavmid, and au English translation was read by Mr. J. G. MacKenzie. The accompanists for the eventing were the Misses A. McLean and V. Macßain. Pipe selections were given by Messrs. A. Graham and J. MaeCallum. The evening, which concluded with the singing of "Auld Lang Sync" aud the National Anthem, was voted a most enjoyable one.
