HERE AND THERE
Farewell Party. The Mothers' Club of the Taranaki Street .Free Kindergarten gave a very pleasant farewell party recently to Misses Broadhurst, Hamilton, and Brice. Musical items and competitions were enjoyed, and the guests of honour were each, presented with a gift* The evening concluded with a delicious supper served by the Mothers' Club committee. ' ' Levin Memorial Home. Miss Archibald presided at the recent meeting of the Levin Memorial Home Committee. The matron reported that the twenty-three children now in the Home were all in good health. A vote of sympathy was passed to the relative* of Mrs. W. Christie, of Levin, whose death removes a valued and generous helpor of the home. Concert at Ohiro. The inmates of the Ohiro Home were entertained recently by Mrs. Kennedy and her. company of merrymakers comprising Misses Winnie Sharp, Betty Graham, Lillian Bibby, Thora Staples, Messrs. Bob Henricksen, Bill Pickering, Jack Melville, and; Harry, Waller. Their unique and varied • programme was augmented by a few of the Scottish songs by Mrs. Kennedy. ' Theso were thoroughly enjoyed by the old people. The pleasant evening terminated with a light supper and a hearty vote of thanks to the entertainers from the management and inmates of the homo.
