LONDON EGG TRADE.
The High Commissioner has cabled the Department of Agriculture under date London, December 16, as follows:— "Eggs: Market firm. English, national pack, 17s Cd to 22s per long hundred; English, ordinary pack, 18s to 19s; Danish, 12s 6d to 18s; Australian, 11s 6d to 13s 9d."
The Licensed Egg Packers and Exporters' Association of Victoria will continue export operations until December 27. At the present time, between 5000 and 7000 cases a week are being prepared for export, and it is considered that local market prices would sSffer were these eggs offered for .sale in Melbourne. The price for export eggs last week was at 9d per dozen, less charges.
