FIGHTING IN CUBA
BANKER'S DAUGHTER KILLED
(Received December 19, 2 p.m.) HAVANA, December 18. A renewal of violence in Cuba today resulted in the killing of the daughter of Senor Portfirio Franca, a former banker and member of the September Revolutionary Committee. The mob attacked and sacked the ex-banker's summer home at Managua. Franca and his son-in-law attempted a defence with revolvers, and the mob fatally shot the woman. Skirmishes continued throughout Cuba all night.
