APPLES FOR AMERICA.
Jlr. H. Turner, the London manager of the New Zealand Fruit Board, is leaving London about mid-December on a visit to Eastern Canada and the Ea*cern States of America, states "The Orchardist." The withdrawal of the embargo by the U.S.A. on the entry of New Zealand fruit has created a prospective market which the Fruit, Board has decided should be thoroughly investigated. A very satisfactory trade has ljeen developed in recent years with Eastern Canada, and the Fruit Board is convinced that the quantities at present being shipped can be considerably increased. Jlr. Turner will be absent from London for four to five weeks, and while in America and Canada will co-operate with Jlr. J. A. Campbell, the Director of the Nesv Zealand Horticulture Division, who has been sent by the Government to facilitate through American Government channels the development of a fruit trade with America.
