Mr, F. H. Coventry, a Now Zealand! artist who has been in London for the past five years, arrived by tho AVanga-* nella from Sydney •on a-visit to his parents, Jlr. and Jlrs. H. Duncan, and. Miss Duncan, of AVellington, left oa Friday for Sydney and Melbourne. At a meeting of directors of the Mosgiel AVoollen Factory Co., Ltd., held on December 12, Mr. J. S. Hislop pre* sented to the chairman, Sir John! Roberts, Kt.B., C.M.G., the silver plate* consisting of two entree dishes and' tray, donated by the shareholders of the company at the diamond jubilee Annual meeting ou November 14, 1933. The plate bears the following inscription:! "Presented to Sir John Roberts, Kt.B.j C.M.G., by the shareholders of the Mos« giel AVoollen Factory Co., Ltd., in appre* ciation of the valuable services rendered by him as chairman of directors for; sixty years-from the inception of the company in 1873." In expressing his appreciation of tho gift, Sir John presented to the directors an enlarged por« trait of himself, which bas now been: placed in a prominent position in thtf board room.
