PICTURE THEATRE CASE
In the Supreme Court today Mr. Justice MacGregor heard an appeal by the Capitol Theatre, Limited, against a decision of Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., in a case in which P. G. Ludlow, labourer, of Miramar, was plaintiff, in the Magistrate's Court. In the Lower Court Ludlow claimed from tho company the sunt of £26, balance of wages alleged to be due in respect of services rendered, as projectionist's assistant at a picture theatre. It was contended by counsel for the other sido that Ludlow was not a projectionist's assistant within the meaning of the Arbitration Court award. The Magistrate gave judgment for Ludlow for the amount claimed, with costs. After hearing legal argument today his ..Honour reserved judgment. Jlr. D. Perry appeared for the appellant, and Mr. W. P. Pringle for .the respondent.
