LORRY'S PLUNGE

A two-ton truck owned and driven by Mr. A. E. Rudman, of Korokoro, plunged down a forty-foot bank on Saturday afternoon. Mr. Rudman had two 10ft by Bft huts in sections on the lorry at the time of the. accident. He had brought the huts from Tawa Flat and when he was 011 the top of the Korokoro Hill the clutch of the lorry stuck, with the result that the truck went backwards down the hill and at a point where there was no fence it plunged over a forty-foot drop. The driver sustained minor injuries. The truck, which was seriously damaged, was hauled back to the road yesterday. The huts were undamaged.
