NEW YORK, December 15. Canzoneri, the victor in the initial battle in his campaign to-regain th* lightweight title, won a ten-rohnd decision from Cleto Locatelli, the European champion, who was making his American debut. The Italian was impressive, however, after the first few rounds, in which nervousness caused* raggedness in his attack, and fought a smart, aggressive battle against a more experienced opponent. Canzoneri weighed 9st 7.1b and Locatelli 9st 7jlb.
