LOAN CORPORATION
FORMATION IN ENGLAND
ADVANCES TO SMALL FIRMS
(Keceived December 16, 9 a.m.) LONDON, December 15. The "Financial News" understands that a corporation is being formed under the auspices of the Bank of England, with an initial capital supplied by the "Big Five" banks, to make advances to small firms where the term of the loan would normally be too long for ordinary banking business and the amount required not sufficient to justify a public issue. .
Tho plan will apply where money is required to finance extensions to fixed plant, machinery, and buildings.
