TE ARO SCHOOL

A very enjo3'able .and interesting afternoon was spent by. parents and friends of the children-of- Te Aro Main School on "Wednesday, when "Parents' Day'^ was held. The weather was ideal, and for an hour an Entertainment was given by tho children in the playground. Displays of folk dancing and massed drill were excellently: performed,, a choir of children from standards II and 111 sang several choruses, and a. small play from "Alice in Wonderland" was another enjoyable item. The ladies of the Te Ai-o School Association were in charge of well-organ-ised stalls, which included tea, cakes and produce, ice cream and drinks, and a fancywork stall, on which a number of useful articles made by the children of the school were sold. The next afternoon the infant school annual demonstration concert was held; Choruses, dances, and elocution items were well done, and thoroughly enjoyed by a 1 large gathering of parents and friends. ■■
