GRAND NATIONAL WINNER
Kellsboro' Jack, winner of the Liverpool Grand National Steeplechase last March, will not again contest a Grand National, says an English report, but he should make his mark over park courses. He is still a young gelding, being only seven years old now.
The hero oE last March, made his first appearance of the new season in the Dudley Steeplechase, 2 miles, at Wolvevhampton on November 6. He had top weight, 12.7, and the opposition was not very formidable, but, although he looked well in the paddock, he was not by any means near concert pitch and the closest he ever was to the front was his sixth at the end. He jumped in his usual quick and faultless fashion, and the race would have done him a world of good.
