BE GENEROUS WITH APPLAUSE
It may not make much difference t» some players, but there are doubtless others who are affected in their play by. any display of partiality on the part of spectators watching "Wood" games. Rule 97 says: "Persons not engaged in the game must confine themselves to the'banks outside the limits of the rink, a*id preserve an, attitude of strict neutrality." When two opposing players play shots which are equally meritorious, it is rather invidious if all the applause is reserved for one particular man. Some people might with advantage find out on which page of the rule book Eule 97 appears and then read it over to themselves several times. .
