| BOOKS AND' AUTHORS "*'Lo Correspondent,", the oldest French literary review, 104 years old, is to suspend publication. An extract from a recently published novel;—"Ho was blondo and tall. When ho passed through a room where women were he left a sighing wake like a ferry boat entering the slip." . Humorous fpictures are a' rarity in church windows, but a stained-glass series, showing some-of Tenniel's illustrations to "Alice in Wonderland," is being placed in Daresbnry Church, Cheshire, where "Lewis CarrollV was born. ■'■ • ' ■
