The twelve-year-old author of "Horsemanship As- It Is Today" (Dent), Sarah Bowes-Lyon, is a second cousin of N the Duchess of York, and the book has a foreword by the Duchess's father, the Earl of Strathmore. The colourplates, drawings, and text are reproduced exactly as in the original. The author's orthography is not always On the level of her art, but facsimile reproduction of the excellencies of the latter necessitates also perpetuating the former. However, adults may find this ah attraction, while younger folk, if interested in horses, will also find delight in the book. ,»
