OTAGO HARBOUR ENTRANCE.

The Marine Department advises that the rear lighted leading beacon in the Otago Harbour entrance is being removed to a position lGSVideg, 2150 ft (approximately) from the front lighted leading beacon. On and after next Wednesday the entrance beacons in line 16.-.'.Jdeß will lead through the centre of the deep-water channel. k

TANKER VARANGER DELAYED,

The Gllmore Oil Company's chartered tanker Varanger has been delayed and will not now reach Lyttelton before late on Monday. She will leave for Wellington on Tuesday evening, and after discharge she will sail either late on Wednesday night or early on Thursday morning for Auckland.

OUTWARD BOUND FROM LONDON

The Remuera left London on Thursday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Timaru. She Is due at Wellington about January 20.

The Port Hunter left London yesterday for Auckland, Wellington, and Bluff. She Is due at Auckland on, January 21, and at Wellington four days later. The NoKoya. formerly the Highland Warrior, left London yesterday morning In ballast to load at New Zealand ports for the.Shaw, Savill Company. She is coming via the Cape of Good Hope and Sydney, and is due In these waters ebout February 3 to commence loading. i,

ASHBURTON CLEARS PORT ARTHUR.

The .Ashburton, en route from New York to AucMand, cleared Port Arthur on Wednesday in continuation of her voyage.
