HALL, ALLEN STREET (Opp. Paramount, Courtenay Place.) SUNDAY, AT 7 P.M. '<IN ADAM AND IN \ CHRIST." "For as IN ADAM all die, even bo IN CHRIST shall all be made alive." . (1 Cor. 15:22.) THE OBJECT of-this address is to show from the Scriptures what the significance of the expressions "IN ADAM" and "IN CHRIST" is:— (a) "IN ADAM."—The natural state of all the descendants .of Adam—a state of entire hopelessness—of mortality— of alienation from God—of being in no way related to. God's plan for the redemption* of mankind. (Gen. 3:17-24, Roms. 5:12, 1 Pet. 1:24, Eph. 2:11-12, Eph. 4:17-18. Cols. 1:21, Cols. 2:13, i Thess. 4:13, Psa. 49:20, etc.) i (b) "IX CHEIST."-The natural hopeless state changed—"now IN JESUS, ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ." (Eph. 2:l3)—only one way whereby the natural "IN ADAM" state can be changed to the "IN CHRIST" state—that "way" appointed by God—belief of the Gospel followed by baptism (immersion) in water— baptism a symbol of the death of the "old man" ADAM and the birth of the "new man" CHRlST—then hopelessness changed to hopefulness—"lf | ye be CHRIST'S, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Gals. 3:27-29, see also Eph. 2:11-13, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, John 10:1-10, John 3:16, John 12:46, Mark 16:15-16, Roms. 1:16, John 3:3-7, Roms. 6:3-6, 1 Pet. 3:21, Acts 2:37-38, Acts 8:12, Acts 18:8, Matt. 7:14, etc.) Questions Invited.
