! LONDON", December 14. Reports of intensely ■ cold weather come from all parts of the Continent. In Venice 18 inches of snow fell. Trieste experienced a blizzard. Several people were frozen to death in Poland. In Switzerland snow is falling heavily, and in northern France hundreds of miles of canals are frozen. In Vienna a cake at a wedding party was broken with an axe, and the guests thawed their portions by the fire.
