TRIBUTE TO THE SHAH
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 13. A large order for covered railway vans for the Persian Railway has been secured by the British firm, Metropolitan-Cainmell Carriage, Wagon, and Finance Co. In a leading .article, "The Times" today pays a tribute to the evolution of modern Persia under the vigorous leacistship of the1 Shah from its previous state of dangerous, and turbulent feudalism. Special reference is made to the Shah's campaign against official corruption, which "The Times" says has greatly benefited his humbler subjects. Tho newspaper adds that a revival of Persia under the Shah's leadership is welcome to Great Britain who, it says, desires her to bo a strong and independent country.
