BISHOPRIC OF NELSON
OFFER TO CANON HILLIARD
SYDNEY, December 14. Advice has been received by Canon W. G. Hilliard, headmaster of Trinity Grammar School, Dulwich Hill, that lie has been unanimously selected as Bishop of Nelson, New Zealand, in succession to Bishop Sadlier. Canon Hilliard, who is regarded as one of the most popular evangelicals in the Anglican Church life of Australia, ia. a forceful and convincing preacher with a distinct appeal to young people. He stated today that he had not yet begun to think about the offer from Nelson owing .to- being in the thick of his speech-day preparations.
