WORSER BAY BOATING CLUB,
Ten boats started at Worser Bay on Saturday in a race for the Well-wishers' Trophy. The Pukeko assumed the .lead almost immediately and rounded Paul's Point buoy just in front o£ the Kathleen and the Spinet. This order was maintained until the last lap, when the'I'Spinet dropped back with a faulty mainsail,' and was overtaken by the Lady Grace and the Ranui, the Matter sailing remarkably well. All the boats finished except the Hakuwai, which developed a serious' leak early in the race. On correctedVtimes the placings were:—Pukeko (scr), 1; Lady Grace (4min), 2; Kathleen (scr), 3; Ranui (2min),. 4; Suzette (4miii), 5; Spinet (■2min). 6; Kea .(6min), 7; Kiwi (Bmin), 8; Nahlin (4mm), 0. On Sunday the annual juniors' race for the Fellows Shield provided interesting competition. The winner was the Pukeko, sailed by R. Arkley, the Spinet (B. ■Casey) beinjr second, and the Suzette (E. Gow) third. -
