A CHRISTMAS TREE

KINDERGARTEN FOLK

St. Thomas's Schoolroom, Newtown, was gnily decorated with streamers, Japanese lanterns, and bowls of Christmas lilies and Iceland poppies for the Christmas party, arranged by the Wellington South Tree Kindergarten. Parents and friends were welcomed by Miss Holland (acting principal), and the Mothers' Club and local committee, whose practical help is always readily given, assisted at the party. Following a Christmas song by the children and kindergarten games, a heavily-laden-tree was revealed. On it was a present for each child, and gifts made by the little ones for their parents. The guests were received by' Miss Ramsey (director of the kindergarten), Miss Burton (assistant director), and students. Among those present were Mrs. 6. P. H. Davidson, Mrs. Dowse tt, Miss Broadhurst, Miss Paterson, Mrs. Millar, Miss yon Dadelszeu, Mrs.' Seed, Miss Seed, Miss England, Miss A. Isewton, Miss Cooper, ,Miss Zander,• and Miss. Preshaw.
