MASTERTON QUOTATIONS.
Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report that at the Masterton sale yesterday there was a weaker demand for grown cattle, but young cattle met keen competition, showing an advance on recent sales. The market for wethers was slightly easier. Prices were:—Yearling steers, £2 to £2 16s; two-year heifers, £2 2s to £3 Is; yearling heifers, £1 8s; fat cows, £2 4s to £3 10s; three-year steers; £3 12s; empty cows, £2 to £2 ss; cows and calves, £2 7s to £2 18s. Sheep: Two-tooth wethers, 15s to 15s 6d; b.f. lambs, 15s 3d.
