MEAT FOR SINGAPORE
Killings for export at all New-Zealand freezing works during the first two months of the present season are given in the following figures supplied by the Meat Board.' It will bo seen that in comparison with the same period (October 1 to November 30) last .year, the number of lambs killed increased by 588,451, and the number of pigs by 40,'J!)2. '>3522 Kwo, c/Vs ' y ,4112 5,179' Lmnb, c/cs.-.. 813,407 224,!)31i Pork (porkers), c/cs 50.U45 21,2115 Pork (baooners), c/cs 27,381 10/i:W Boneless beef, frt. c/cs 34,307 12,041 Sundries, frt. c/cs 08,682 33,580 Exports of meat to the United Kingdom during the same' period, with the figures for last year in parentheses, were: Beef, quarters, 11,280 (28,001); mutton, carcasses, 03,727 (181,955); lamb, carcasses, 356,582 (227,624); pork, carcasses, 58,585 (20.060J; boneless beef (bags), 25,407 (19,050). Included in the figures for 1933 are 500 carcasses of lambs for Singapore and last year 303 lamb carcasses were sent to Hong Kong.
