INTERNATIONAL JOY NIGHT.
The Smith 'Family International Joy Night, which takes place at the. Town Hall on Saturday night, promises to be an outstanding gathering. Over 50 performers will take part in the first part of the programme, and for the second part the floors will bo cleared for dancing. Man; tickets hare already been soldj and ■ a crowded houss is expected* Prior to the opening of the box plan at the D.I.C. on Wednesday tickets may- be obtained at the office of the Smith Family Joy Spreaders, 93-95 Wakefleld,,; Street. la the" first, part of the programme the audience * will witness a lightnjng tour of the world. The, two well-known ■ comedians Messrs. Laurie Sweotapple and Jack Chandler will take the principal parts. In brief the tour comprlse« .1 visit to Java, China, Japan, Hawaii, America, Kngland, France, Holland, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Poland, and Russia. This Is all condensed Into a two-hours entertainment. Laughter, swift action, colourful music, and spectacular costumes will combine to make this a thrilling performance, the final scene of which will depict the peoples of all nations joining' hands united by the age-old desire for "tieace on earth, goodwill >; fo men," Misses Kathloen O'Brien, Dorothy Parlette, Margaret O'Connor1, Kath. Nickels, Grade Kerr, Kathleen, '.Ferris, Dorothy Daniels, Messrs. DHVl&'.DeTitt, Frank Tozer, -,X. W. 'PrlMt-ley,'-.Hartspn Cook. ' Asheton1 Harbord,' D. Hogg;' Ray Trewern, :and many, other well-known performers ■ have „ combined to present the scenes representing the various countries. The second part of the progfammo will consist of dancing, when peoples of all nations will assemble on tha floor of the Town Hall. In all, Mr. Smith's international Joy Night will comprise four hours of colourful entertainment*
