[ P. J. Foley, who was granted a jockey* .* licence by the Victoua Racing Club; Just . wceky has had an eventful career. Before the war he was one of the leading jockeys in Australia, and among his victories was the A.J.C. , Derby on Cider in 1912. On the outbreak of war he enlisted for service overseas, and on the cassation of hostilities lie rode with Eome success in England. Returning to Australia, he turned his attention to cross-country races, in which he obtained a high percentage or victories. Ho then retired from raqp riding, and was engaged in business pursuits for several years. lie has decided to become a jockey again. .1
