STRUCK BY ENGINE
MAN DIES FROM INJURIES

A fatal aceidont occurred at M6uhfc > Albert Kailway Station when. Frederick Cecif Hirst, a carpenter, aged 33/ of Mount Albert, was struck -by tH» engine of a passenger train and received head and internal injuries from which he died in hospital. .''■-.'
The train was travelling from. Henderson to the city, and had pulled into a' siding to give thoroughfare ;to an outward train. Hirst was walkingalong tho siding towards the city with his back to the train when he was struck by the engine aiftl thrown abont six feet, being rendered uncontoeibus. Tho train was travelling, slowly, and was pulled up in about two carriage lengths. ,
